STUDENT WELLBEING OFFICER
Starting in Term 1 of 2026 (15 JANUARY)

About the Role:

The Student Wellbeing team provides individual support to any identified student within the school (Prep - Year 12) that are facing challenges around social/emotional wellbeing. We provide practical support and short-term intervention, to increase student overall wellbeing and encourage engagement with external support systems.

About You:

We are looking for a heartfelt, genuine, adaptable Wellbeing Officer to provide support to students and families within our school. You will be working collaboratively as part of a team to achieve the best outcomes for all involved.

Successful candidates must:

  • Hold a minimum diploma level qualification in Counselling.
  • Have at least 2 years working with children and young people.
  • Strong knowledge of current evidence-based practices, policies and current legislation.
  • Experience in working with Year 7 – 12 students.
  • Be willing to work with the lifespan of King's Students (Prep - Year 12).
  • Have efficient communication skills to liaise with chaplains, teaching staff, management, parent and external providers.
  • Understanding of case management with strong report writing and case noting skills.
  • Be prepared to undergo professional development and ongoing supervision.

This position is Full Time, Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm.

  • at least 1 referee who can attest to your suitability to work within the values and culture of an expanding Christian school (preferably from a pastor or minister).

ABOUT OUR COLLEGE

King's is an expanding, multi-campus school that places paramount importance on the development of the whole child, with a particular focus on providing every student the opportunity to develop Christian leadership skills that will prepare them for their future. Our programs challenge and shape students' thinking and understanding of their role in the world.

The REEDY CREEK CAMPUS (on the southern end of the Gold Coast) has more than 2600 students on-site, from Early Learning through to Year 12. This campus also includes a Trade Training College.

Our PIMPAMA CAMPUS (on the northern end of the Gold Coast) currently has over 2000 students on-site, from Early Learning to Year 12.

King's LOGAN VILLAGE CAMPUS (in south-west Logan) currently has over 1000 students on-site, offering places for students from Early Learning through to High School.
