STUDENT WELLBEING OFFICER
Starting in Term 1 of 2026 (15 JANUARY)
About the Role:
The Student Wellbeing team provides individual support to any identified student within the school (Prep - Year 12) that are facing challenges around social/emotional wellbeing. We provide practical support and short-term intervention, to increase student overall wellbeing and encourage engagement with external support systems.
About You:
We are looking for a heartfelt, genuine, adaptable Wellbeing Officer to provide support to students and families within our school. You will be working collaboratively as part of a team to achieve the best outcomes for all involved.
Successful candidates must:
- Hold a minimum diploma level qualification in Counselling.
- Have at least 2 years working with children and young people.
- Strong knowledge of current evidence-based practices, policies and current legislation.
- Experience in working with Year 7 – 12 students.
- Be willing to work with the lifespan of King's Students (Prep - Year 12).
- Have efficient communication skills to liaise with chaplains, teaching staff, management, parent and external providers.
- Understanding of case management with strong report writing and case noting skills.
- Be prepared to undergo professional development and ongoing supervision.

This position is Full Time, Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm.

- at least 2 recent professional referees (including your current employer)
- at least 1 referee who can attest to your suitability to work within the values and culture of an expanding Christian school (preferably from a pastor or minister).

The REEDY CREEK CAMPUS (on the southern end of the Gold Coast) has more than 2600 students on-site, from Early Learning through to Year 12. This campus also includes a Trade Training College.
Our PIMPAMA CAMPUS (on the northern end of the Gold Coast) currently has over 2000 students on-site, from Early Learning to Year 12.
King's LOGAN VILLAGE CAMPUS (in south-west Logan) currently has over 1000 students on-site, offering places for students from Early Learning through to High School.
