The Role

  • We are seeking a skilled Drainer to join our team, working on various construction and maintenance projects.
  • Key responsibilities include:
    • Installing below-ground drainage systems and associated ground support systems;
    • Excavating and levelling to line, depth and grade according to drawings and specifications;
    • Setting out and installing below ground concrete and PVC sanitary and storm-water pipes;
    • Carrying out site drainage and dewatering procedures, employing storm-water, sub-soil and pumped systems;
    • Testing drainage systems;
    • Locating and clearing blockages in below ground systems;
    • Installing excavation supports in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements;
    • Digging trenches to desired or required depths by hand or using trenching tools or machinery.
  • The ideal candidate will have:
    • Relevant trade qualification or 3 years relevant experience;
    • Working at heights ticket (desirable);
    • Elevated Work Platform (desirable);
    • Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card;
    • Ability to interpret and fabricate using isometric drawings to the required standards and specifications;
    • Complete ITPs and follow quality control systems and techniques, including daily fit up reports.
