About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Newcastle. As a key member of our structural team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality projects across various engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and document structural engineering solutions to meet Australian Standards and best industry practice.
  • Mentor junior staff in structural engineering and review structural models, calculations, specifications, and drawings.
  • Prepare high-quality reports and other related documents.
  • Coordinate and collaborate engineering designs with other teams and disciplines.
  • Carry out construction phase services, including site inspections and RFI's.
  • Contribute to the growth of the company in the marketplace, including participation in business planning activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering, or other relevant qualifications and industry experience.
  • 5 years of experience in a similar capacity, with a design approach that provides great value to clients.
  • Proven experience with structural design software, such as SPACEGASS, Strand7, RAPT, and Inducta.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with well-developed interpersonal skills to develop, maintain, and enhance internal and client relationships.
  • Proven experience in time management and organizational skills, including the ability to manage resources and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Attitude of taking initiative, enthusiasm, and eagerness to learn.
  • Ongoing commitment to professional development through self-study, training, and seminars, and maintaining Continual Professional Development (CPD).
