We are seeking a Senior Structural Design Engineer to join our client's engineering team based in Newcastle, NSW.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural designs for steel and concrete applications, contributing to both small and large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct structural conceptual design for steel and concrete applications
  • Prepare detailed design documentation for lifting structures, beams, slabs, and pentice structures
  • Produce and review design specifications
  • Work autonomously while collaborating with a dynamic team environment
  • Coordinate external consultants (e.g., Surveyors, Geotechnicians) for design inputs
  • Generate engineering and cost estimates where required
  • Deliver innovative solutions through effective collaboration

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years experience in relevant field of engineering
  • Familiarity with mining structures
  • Possession of CPEng and RPEQ desirable
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, Space Gass, or Deswik
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable managing client relationships and travelling when required
  • Newcastle-based or willing to relocate
