Orthopaedic Care Manager

The Orthopaedic Registrar will manage the care of all patients presenting to the Orthopaedic department in consultation with the responsible Senior Registrars, Consultants, Nurses and Allied Health professionals. This role is responsible for managing patient care, providing high-quality service and contributing to continuous quality improvement.
\Key Responsibilities:\- Maintain a high standard of patient care for inpatients and outpatients.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of patient care.
- Provide effective and accurate clinical handover of patient care at shift changeovers.
- Contribute to discharge planning and post-discharge management.
- Implement administrative procedures consistent with the duties of a unit registrar.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
\- General registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent qualification.
- Postgraduate experience in orthopaedics to PGY level 3 or higher.
- Proven experience in delivering high-quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
