Job Description:

This prestigious programme offers multiple three-year positions across South Australia's leading healthcare networks, providing diverse rotations for ambitious medical professionals.

As a Service Registrar, you will have the opportunity to rotate through various facilities in SA Health, including placements at Royal Darwin Hospital and Mount Gambier. You will be responsible for managing comprehensive orthopaedic patient care alongside senior medical teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care Management: Manage patient care for inpatients and outpatients, ensuring high-quality treatment and effective discharge planning.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, adhering to medical standards and best practices.
  • Clinical Handover: Provide clear and concise clinical handover of patient care to ensure seamless transitions between teams.
  • Discharge Planning: Commence discharge planning and follow-up care to ensure patients receive optimal support throughout their recovery journey.
  • Administrative Procedures: Implement administrative procedures and supervise admission and discharge planning to maintain efficient workflows.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Medical Registration: Hold general registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Postgraduate Experience: Possess postgraduate experience in Orthopaedics to PGY level 3 or higher.
  • High-Quality Care: Demonstrate proven experience in delivering high-quality and safe care to patients.
