ASC is a Government Business Enterprise (GBE) with a unique opportunity for a highly capable taxation professional to lead the Tax Function.

The role reports directly to the Head of Tax & Financial Services and is responsible for overseeing and optimising tax outcomes across Australia and international jurisdictions.

  • Plan and manage all taxation compliance activities
  • Provide timely and accurate advice on corporate transactions, functions, and policies
  • Review major contracts for tax consequences with a focus on risk mitigation
  • Lead the implementation and oversight of ASC's Tax Risk Management and Governance Framework
  • Manage relationships with Revenue Offices, external auditors, and tax advisors

Candidate Profile
You will be a taxation expert with strong expertise in corporate tax, able to manage complex compliance and advisory matters. Ideally, you will bring a mix of technical depth and leadership capability, with the confidence to influence and advise senior stakeholders. Specifically, you will bring:

  • Significant experience in corporate tax roles, with strong working knowledge of Australian taxation law
  • Exposure to international taxation considerations such as permanent establishments and transfer pricing
  • Sound understanding of Tax Governance and Risk Management Frameworks
  • Ability to partner with business leaders on tax impacts of contracts, transactions, and strategic decisions
