We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Lotus by Roshana, a part of Roshana Care Group. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality food production that meets the standards expected by our restaurant.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the kitchen team and food production to ensure seamless service across all meal periods, meetings, and events.
- Assist the Head Chef in training the team and upholding safety practices in the kitchen.
- Assist with ordering and holding team members accountable for stock rotation to minimize waste and optimize inventory.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to prepare menus and recipes for guests, meetings, and events, ensuring a diverse and innovative culinary experience.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to order food quantities for the day, maximize the use of food produce, and achieve the best rate of return.
- Regularly inspect kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning.
- Ensure all kitchen team members meet restaurant, hygiene, and Work Health and Safety requirements.
- Develop strong relationships with guests, team members, and stakeholders to provide exceptional service.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a commercial kitchen environment.
- Hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) and a Food Safety Supervisors Certificate.
- Previous experience in managing a kitchen and leading a team is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of culinary skills, food trends, and kitchen equipment is essential.
- Excellent communication, planning, and time management skills are required to perform under high-pressure environments.
