Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled and experienced maintenance supervisor to join our team working on remote civil and mining projects in the Northern Territory.

This is a site-based workshop role reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager and Project Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising safe and cost-effective maintenance activities on projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and promote a safety culture and industry leadership;
  • Manage resources to meet maintenance schedules;
  • Drive operational efficiencies;
  • Provide leadership and supervision through presence, guidance, and feedback;
  • Motivate team members towards goals;
  • Conduct employee performance appraisals and develop improvement plans;
  • Resolve crew problems and conflicts;
  • Perform servicing, repairs, and maintenance of mobile plant equipment, including fault finding and diagnostics to prevent breakdowns.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Heavy Diesel Fitter Trade qualification;
  • Current driver's license;
  • Experience in supervisory or management roles;
  • Experience with Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi mobile equipment;
  • Experience with Kenworth and Mack Trucks and ancillary gear;
  • Understanding of civil/mining mobile plant and crushing operations;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance systems like MEX;
  • Strong planning, time management, and prioritization skills;
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with employees, clients, and suppliers;
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude;
  • Willingness to work in remote locations;
  • Hands-on approach.
