Aircraft Maintenance Specialist

Seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to support Modification and Depot Maintenance for the P-8 A Poseidon Program at RAAF Base Edinburgh.

About the Role:
  • Maintain qualifications and certifications associated with Cert IV Aeroskills - Avionics.
  • Implement approved maintenance processes and procedures.
  • Perform aircraft and/or component maintenance duties, including task completion and certification.
Key Qualifications:
  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics).
  • Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) clearance.
  • C class driver's licence.
  • Suitability for DASR Part 66 Military Aircraft Maintenance Licence (MAML).

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a critical program supporting the Australian Defence Force.



A key requirement of this role is maintaining individual qualifications and certifications. This includes holding a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics). The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills and be able to implement approved maintenance processes and procedures. Additionally, you will need to be proficient in performing aircraft and/or component maintenance duties, including task completion and certification.

In order to be successful in this role, you will require a range of skills and qualifications. These include:

• Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics)
• Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) clearance
• C class driver's licence
• Suitability for DASR Part 66 Military Aircraft Maintenance Licence (MAML)

As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with the Australian Defence Force, you will play a crucial role in supporting the P-8 A Poseidon Program at RAAF Base Edinburgh. You will work as part of a team to maintain and repair aircraft and components, ensuring they are airworthy and meet all relevant standards.
