Shipping Logistics Coordinator Job Opportunity

A dynamic and experienced Shipping Logistics Coordinator is required to manage our export shipping process from contract stage through to delivery at destination port.

  • Initiate and arrange container export shipping to meet Buyer requirements, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation solutions.
  • Monitor shipment progress, proactively resolving issues and minimising delays and costs.
  • Negotiate ocean freight rates and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines and service providers.
  • Co-ordinate with yards, buyers, and internal teams to manage end-to-end container export operations, ensuring seamless communication and efficient logistics management.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with customs and regulatory requirements, maintaining high standards of quality and integrity.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in international container export shipping/logistics, with a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of ocean freight, shipping documentation, and customs processes, with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, with excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, with experience in supply chain management software desirable.
