Job Description:

We are seeking an Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team on a major infrastructure project in Western Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of environmental management systems, promoting sustainability and driving high performance on the project.

The role involves providing technical support on significant environmental aspects, managing multiple environmental consultants, and liaising with stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining Environment and/or Sustainability Management plans, processes, and system elements
  • Providing advice on environmental aspects such as contamination, erosion and sediment control, heritage, ecology, waste management, noise, and vibration
  • Recording relevant environmental data and compiling reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with company HSEQ systems, policies, standards, and procedures
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in environmental science or a related discipline
  • Relevant experience in environmental sustainability or a similar field
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement environmental monitoring programs
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 and federal and state environment acts and regulations
