Job Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated professional to join our team as an Aboriginal Education Specialist.

About the Role

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting classes and sessions with offenders, meeting educational needs under the principles of adult learning.
  • Key responsibilities include participating in evaluating processes, including validation and modifying assessments, as well as administrative duties such as recording offender attendance, progress and achievements.
  • The specialist will also plan and develop courses that meet the requirements of accredited programs and training packages, ensuring high levels of compliance with relevant policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Proof of Aboriginality.
  • A qualification in Education as outlined in the relevant award and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
  • The qualification will include subjects in the learning area of literacy and numeracy.
  • A current driver licence is required, with preparedness to drive as part of the role.
