At Queensland Rail, we are seeking an experienced Senior Signalling Engineer to join our Rail Signalling Design Engineering team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, verifying, and solving technical problems related to Railway Signal Engineering design articles.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide a central role as a signal engineering specialist in a multi-disciplinary project-based team, ensuring the delivery of effective and commercially valuable signal engineering solutions. Additionally, you will mentor and support the development of design engineers within the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, verify, and review technical problems related to Railway Signal Engineering design articles
  • Provide signal engineering expertise to project teams to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers within the team
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $132,900 plus 12.75% company Superannuation contribution. Our standard working hours are 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional ad-hoc weekend work or outside hours work required to support commissioning of design works.

As a Senior Signalling Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on large-scale rail projects, gain exposure across a wide range of signal engineering technologies, and enjoy workplace flexibility. Requirements
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in delivering signal engineering solutions
  • Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from an accredited Australian University or equivalent qualification recognized by Engineers Australia
