At Queensland Rail, we are seeking an experienced Senior Signalling Engineer to join our Rail Signalling Design Engineering team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, verifying, and solving technical problems related to Railway Signal Engineering design articles.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will provide a central role as a signal engineering specialist in a multi-disciplinary project-based team, ensuring the delivery of effective and commercially valuable signal engineering solutions. Additionally, you will mentor and support the development of design engineers within the team.
Key Responsibilities- Design, verify, and review technical problems related to Railway Signal Engineering design articles
- Provide signal engineering expertise to project teams to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions
- Mentor and develop junior engineers within the team
We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $132,900 plus 12.75% company Superannuation contribution. Our standard working hours are 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional ad-hoc weekend work or outside hours work required to support commissioning of design works.
As a Senior Signalling Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on large-scale rail projects, gain exposure across a wide range of signal engineering technologies, and enjoy workplace flexibility. You will also have access to ongoing training and development opportunities to support your career growth.
Requirements- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in delivering signal engineering solutions
- Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from an accredited Australian University or equivalent qualification recognized by Engineers Australia
