About the Role:

This is a permanent, full-time position within our Rail Signalling Design Engineering team at Queensland Rail. As a Senior Signalling Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering signal engineering solutions to meet project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Design and verify technical problems related to Railway Signal Engineering design articles, including Signalling Arrangements, Control Tables, Circuits, and Interlocking Data.">
  • Provide expert advice as a signal engineering specialist in multi-disciplinary project-based teams to ensure effective and commercially valuable signal engineering solutions.">
  • Mentor and support the development of design engineers within the team.">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

">
  • ">
  • A minimum 4-5 years of Engineering experience, preferably in signal engineering.">
  • Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.">
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with teams, stakeholders, and contractors.">
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and accountability.">
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from an accredited Australian University or equivalent recognized by Engineers Australia.">
  • Current unrestricted National Drivers Licence.">

Compensation and Benefits:

">

We offer a competitive annual base salary of $132,900, plus a 12.75% company Superannuation contribution. You will also receive four weeks' annual leave and leave loading, long service leave entitlements after seven years of continuous service, equal opportunity leave, paid parental/partner leave, and access to health and wellbeing programs, including Fitness Passport.

About Our Location:

The successful candidate will be based in Brisbane CBD office location and will work on a standard 38-hour per week Monday to Friday schedule. However, there may be occasional ad-hoc weekend work or outside hours work required to support commissioning of design works, for which compensation applies.
