About the Position

This role as Safety-Critical Signalling Systems Engineer offers you the opportunity to perform system safety and RAMS engineering with respect to ETCS technologies. You will execute and manage System Safety and RAMS project activities and maintain the organisation's System Safety and RAMS management system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate signalling systems and subsystems for compliance with RAMS and quality standards.
  • Define RAMS Plans that meet customer requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate RAMS and V&V activities.
  • Identify and apportion RAMS requirements for signalling applications.
  • Verify system requirements to confirm compliance with safety and customer requirements.
  • Manage test specifications and their execution to validate safety-related functions.
  • Analyse conformities identified during V&V activities and implement corrective actions.
  • Support Independent Safety Assessor, Client, and other external Authorities.
  • Maintain compliance of signalling systems and subsystems to applicable national and international standards.
  • Provide Application Conditions and Hazard Log for signalling applications.
  • Supply schedule and cost progress information.
  • Conduct RAMS analyses in compliance with ETCS specifications published by UNISIG/ERA.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering or Equivalent Technical Background.
  • 3 years of experience in RAMS.
  • At least three years' experience in signalling or other safety-critical engineering areas.
  • Familiarity with safety engineering techniques like PHA, FTA, FMEA.
  • Desirable experience with ETCS specifications published by UNISIG/ERA.
