Accommodation Support Specialist

This role involves providing accommodation support to people with disabilities, focusing on personalised and people-centred care. We work closely with our customers to help them achieve their life goals and realise their potential.
A typical day may involve:
- Implementing person-centred plans that identify customers' life goals and supporting them in achieving these goals
- Assisting with daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, health and hygiene, medication administration, and attending appointments
- Ensuring positive behaviour support plans are followed
- Completing administrative duties and mandatory daily reports
Key aspects of this role include:
- Providing assistance with personal care for any gender (showering, toileting) and domestic duties (meal preparation, housekeeping)
- Assessing and meeting the individual needs of customers, including dementia and high behaviours
- Collaborating with other teams to ensure seamless customer service
- Staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
Applicants must have the right to work in Australia and be willing to undergo pre-employment screening, including a video interview. A valid driver's licence, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and National Police Clearance are also required.
Requirements:- Certificate III in Individual Support - essential
- Previous experience or willingness to train in manual handling and medication administration
- Proven administration and computer literacy skills
- Availability to work one of the included roster patterns
- Willingness to use your fully insured and registered vehicle (aligned with motor vehicle allowance rebate)
