A typical day may involve:

  • Implementing person-centred plans that identify customers' life goals and supporting them in achieving these goals
  • Assisting with daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, health and hygiene, medication administration, and attending appointments
  • Ensuring positive behaviour support plans are followed
  • Completing administrative duties and mandatory daily reports

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Providing assistance with personal care for any gender (showering, toileting) and domestic duties (meal preparation, housekeeping)
  • Assessing and meeting the individual needs of customers, including dementia and high behaviours
  • Collaborating with other teams to ensure seamless customer service
  • Staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices

Applicants must have the right to work in Australia and be willing to undergo pre-employment screening, including a video interview. A valid driver's licence, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and National Police Clearance are also required.

Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Individual Support - essential
  • Previous experience or willingness to train in manual handling and medication administration
  • Proven administration and computer literacy skills
  • Availability to work one of the included roster patterns
  • Willingness to use your fully insured and registered vehicle (aligned with motor vehicle allowance rebate)
