Job Overview

We have a new opportunity for an experienced Facilities Manager at our brand-new state-of-the-art distribution centre situated at Melbourne Airport, Tullamarine. The key focus of this role will be to effectively and safely manage our facilities, equipment, and environment, ensuring Milwaukee operates in the safest and most cost-effective manner in line with world-class facilities management standards.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with all stakeholders across DC operations to review current processes and instil best practice models for the control of all facilities-related touchpoints.
  • Ensure compliance with all appropriate and applicable WH&S policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Liaise with the landlord as the key point of contact for all maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Site's key Contractor Management lead, ensuring interaction between on-site contractors and staff is fully risk assessed and managed at all times.
  • Coordinate and maintain proactive equipment maintenance tasks.
  • Manage all insurance and landlord inspections pertaining to the building and its contents.
  • Educate team members on facilities management and build a culture that is aligned with the company values.
  • Prepare monthly reports to provide insights into the business.
  • Provide a visual rolling 12-month service/maintenance schedule of all major site items.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a proven background in a similar Facilities Management role within a large distribution centre. You enjoy working for a fast-paced business driven by innovation and service excellence and can handle multiple priorities. You will have outstanding people and communication skills with a health and safety-first focus, be able to work autonomously, multitask, and prioritise, and have exceptional attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in facilities management within a large distribution centre.
  • Excellent people and communication skills with a focus on health and safety.
  • Able to work independently, multitask, and prioritise tasks.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) is highly advantageous.
  • Previous experience in the transport/logistics industry and assisting in the setup of a DC environment with automation is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable individual with practical working experience with MS Office package.

Salary Range: AU$90,000 - AU$120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
