Job Overview

Main Responsibilities
  • Liaise between Product Engineering, R&D, and Operations
  • Learn processes, tools, and systems used by Engineering, R&D, and Manufacturing
  • Configure products according to requirements or product change requests
  • Document critical manufacturing processes and implement Standard Operating Procedures
  • Partner with Engineering and R&D to ensure new products are designed for manufacturing and suitable for factory
  • Assist Sales and end customers to expedite products while documenting changes for tracking and traceability
  • Implement LEAN manufacturing principles to improve shopfloor productivity
  • Review designs for design for manufacturing and design for maintenance perspective and provide constructive feedback
  • Create Manufacturing Bill of Materials in ERP systems and ensure Product build is always as per Engineering requirements and approvals
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering
  • AS1100 knowledge essential
  • Mechanical drafting and manufacturing experience in metal fabrication, sheet metal, machining detail, threads, and welding designations
  • 3D experience essential
  • Ability to apply engineering first principles such as stress analysis and analysis of materials and finishes
  • Experience working with an ERP system is a plus, experience with SAP is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
