Defence Project Leader

We are seeking a seasoned Project Lead with substantial Defence maritime systems engineering experience to spearhead our dynamic and collaborative team in Sydney.

The Role Summary
  • To lead, manage, and deliver high-profile Defence maritime projects, ensuring timely and within-budget outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain robust relationships with clients and stakeholders, fostering trust and open communication.
  • Effectively translate client operational requirements into actionable project deliverables, leveraging your expertise in Defence writing standards and documentation best practices.
  • Provide astute advice and innovative solutions to complex issues, exercising sound judgment and professionalism.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • A proven track record of delivering successful projects within the Defence environment, coupled with an intimate understanding of operational maritime requirements.
  • Relevant qualifications in engineering or project management, complemented by excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • A commitment to solving problems for clients, coupled with a willingness to thrive on challenges and be team-oriented.
  • The ability to apply proactive and critical thinking while tackling tasks, driving results, and continuously improving processes.

You will possess previous project experience within the Defence sector, an in-depth comprehension of operational maritime requirements, and relevant certifications in engineering or project management. It is mandatory that you hold (or will be able to obtain) a current Australian Government security clearance at NV1 level or higher.
