Job Overview

This permanent position has a significant impact, making a difference in the community. As a Governance Officer, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing Council's governance systems.

You will develop, implement, communicate, and maintain governance policies, processes, and procedures that meet statutory requirements.

The role involves managing customer access to information via formal and informal GIPA applications.

You will oversee the development of Council's procurement and contract management policy framework, ensuring transparency, fairness, and accountability in decision-making.

Experience as a Governance Officer with broad managerial responsibilities, a degree in Law or Business Management, and extensive experience in governance and procurement are required.
