Job Title: Senior Governance and Compliance Officer

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Governance and Compliance Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, communicating, and maintaining governance and compliance policies, processes, and procedures that meet statutory legislation.

  • Develop and implement governance and compliance policies, processes, and procedures to ensure alignment with statutory legislation.
  • Manage and respond to customer access to information via formal and informal applications.
  • Oversee the development of procurement and contract management policy framework and monitor organisational practices.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, business papers, minutes, and coordinate setup.
  • Provide support, guidance, and training to elected officials on their statutory obligations.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing governance and compliance policies and procedures;
  • Managing customer access to information;
  • Overseeing procurement and contract management;
  • Preparing meeting materials;
  • Providing support to elected officials.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong knowledge of governance and compliance principles;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures;
  • Proven experience in a similar role;
  • Good understanding of statutory legislation.
