Job Title: Compliance Officer - Privacy Governance

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead our privacy governance efforts.

This role involves providing expert guidance and leadership in ensuring the University complies with NSW and Commonwealth privacy laws. You will oversee requests made under the Government Information (Public Access) Act (GIPA) and lead initiatives that support privacy protection, manage privacy complaints and breaches, and liaise with key stakeholders including the Information & Privacy Commission.

About You:

  • You have extensive knowledge of NSW and Commonwealth privacy and access laws.
  • You possess strong analytical and communication skills, with experience in interpreting legislation and managing complex issues.
  • You excel in promoting a culture of transparency and accountability, and are confident working with senior leaders, delivering staff training, and responding to legal requests in a high-volume environment.
