About the Job

The Governance Support (Information Access) role plays a vital part in shaping the future of our community, ensuring a sustainable and vibrant area for generations to come. As an integral member of our team, you will contribute directly to transparency and the efficient delivery of Council services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting with formal and informal information access requests;
  • Efficiently process applications in line with Council policies and legislative requirements;
  • Provide advice and support to staff and the public on governance matters;
  • Assist in preparing, administering, and publishing Council and committee business papers, minutes, and associated documents;
  • Prepare reports and administrative correspondence;
Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • Completed or currently undertaking tertiary qualifications in business administration, government, law, or related fields OR minimum 2 years' relevant experience;
  • Experience processing applications under relevant legislation;
  • Strong written communication skills with ability to prepare clear, concise correspondence and reports;
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills for liaising with internal teams and the public;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook);
