Job Title

A job opportunity has become available for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to work within our Critical Infrastructure division in Brisbane. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing detailed electrical designs, producing cost estimates of materials and labour, assisting the construction team during project construction, and updating database and as-built drawings.

  • Develop detailed electrical designs incorporating industry standards and guidelines
  • Produce accurate cost estimates of materials and labour to inform project budgets
  • Assist the construction team with the execution of projects from conception to completion
  • Update and maintain databases and as-built drawings to ensure project records are accurate and up-to-date

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a qualified Electrical Engineer or Designer is essential
  • Technical expertise in Low Voltage and DC power systems is required
  • Proficiency in interpreting CAD drawings and using software applications such as MS Office, especially Excel
  • Competency in other areas such as MS Access, Power Automation, and Power Apps is desirable
  • A current manual driver's licence is necessary
  • Be prepared to work away from home when required
  • Knowledge of ISO9001, OH&S legislation/guidelines, and environmental legislation/licensing is also required

Desired Skills:

  • Develop technically fit-for-purpose solar and battery designs for commercial market segments
  • Have proficient knowledge of the solar industry and solar-related regulations and requirements
  • Basic understanding of LV/HV AC electrical systems is beneficial
