Job Description

Sydney Water is seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for executing project management processes across multiple projects.

  • Develop and execute project plans
  • Plan, define, control, and verify project scope
  • Forecast, report, control, estimate, and budget costs
  • Develop and control schedules
  • Plan, control, and assure quality
  • Identify, monitor, respond to, and plan for risks/issues
  • Plan purchases, manage procurement, and administer contracts
  • Manage documents, plan communications, distribute information, and report performance

You'll own key deliverables like project plans and schedules and refer unresolved issues to higher management. With high autonomy, you'll collaborate to define teams and achieve project outcomes, build strong relationships, set clear tasks, and ensure accountability and authority.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A degree in construction management or related discipline
  • Experience in project scheduling software (either Microsoft Project / Primavera)
  • Experience in project finance management software (SAP)
  • 8+ years demonstrated industry experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in identifying and managing avoidable project risks including reputational risk triggers
