Working in a Central Sterilising Department at Frankston Hospital, you will play a key role in providing decontamination and sterilisation processing services to support patient care. The Instrument Technician Grade 5 will work collaboratively with the CSSD Manager to ensure efficient operation of the department.

As an Instrument Technician Grade 5, your primary responsibility will be to supervise Instrument Technicians on duty, ensuring all staff are working according to AS4187 standards. You will lead by example, promoting a safe work environment and maintaining high standards of patient care.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate IV in sterilization and possess strong leadership skills, including communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution. A commitment to ongoing learning and development is essential, as well as excellent customer service skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.

This full-time position requires the successful applicant to be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and meet the requirements of the Peninsula Health immunisation policy.
