About this role

  • Key responsibilities include cleaning, disinfecting and sterilizing Reusable Medical Devices (RMD) according to AS/NZS4187-2014 guidelines.
  • Demonstrating expertise in Electronic Tracking System of Reusable Devices process is essential.
  • Familiarity with instrument marking is desirable.
  • Understanding policy related to reporting staff injuries is necessary.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment for colleagues and members of the public is paramount.

About you

  • You must be committed to upholding Austin Health values.
  • A minimum Cert III in Sterilization Services or equivalent qualification is required.
  • At least two years experience in Sterilizing services in a hospital setting is expected.
  • Previous knowledge and experience in Electronic Instrument tracking are beneficial.
  • You should be able to work collaboratively with colleagues across all teams.
  • Effective communication and engagement skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly in rotational shifts is required.
