About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing Executive to join our team at Vicinity Limited. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for the effective tactical execution of key marketing activities and campaigns to deliver marketing objectives for our shopping centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive customer engagement and sales growth.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Brand & Marketing Manager to develop marketing plans and tactics aligned with the company's vision and strategy.
  • Generate local marketing activity creative briefs with local requirements to be aligned with company pillars and national toolkits.
  • Implement social and digital activity, monitoring and reporting in conjunction with the Digital and Social Specialist.
  • Manage events, campaigns, and activations, including risk assessments and day-to-day management.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including briefing of terms and conditions and escalating compliance and governance requirements to the necessary teams.
  • Manage financial and budgeting duties, including raising purchase orders, processing invoices, monthly forecasting, and annual budgeting.
  • Localise the national sustainability strategy, including relationship management, community bookings, and data reporting.
  • Provide centre operational support, including centre walks, duty management, customer service desk assistance, hoarding management, PA announcements, visual merchandising, new store support, warden training, maintaining the marketing storeroom, updating resolve, and consumer complaints, and onsite contractor support.
  • Prepare reports and attend CAR Meetings and state meetings, and provide centre administrative support from time to time.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in marketing, preferably in the retail and/or shopping center industry.
  • Strong understanding of retailer businesses and engagement, ensuring regular and meaningful communication and reporting with retail partners.
  • Understanding of the local competitive landscape and key customer insights to ensure a level of customization of the Centre marketing plan to drive local community engagement, activations, and partnerships.
  • Event implementation and management skills.
  • Proofreading and editing skills.
  • Interpersonal and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Financial acumen and proven performance to drive value and commercial results.
  • Strong organizational, compliance, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work as a part of a team and develop/maintain strategic relationships.
