Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Energy Australia's Jeeralang site. As a key member of our site-based team, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the implementation of health and safety programs across the site.
Key Responsibilities- Provide advice and guidance on health and safety matters to site personnel.
- Monitor and review incidents and actions in the HSSE Management System.
- Support with incident management and investigations.
- Chair the monthly Jeeralang HSE Meeting and lead safety conversations during other site forums.
- Assist the site leadership team with risk management processes, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and establishment of suitable controls.
- Facilitate and support the execution of site targets and objectives, and implement site and enterprise-wide improvement programs.
- Ensure site personnel operate within EnergyAustralia's Group HSSE management system frameworks.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Specialist with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within heavy industry. You will have strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
