About the Role

This exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead our team in Bundaberg. The CEO will report to the Management Committee, providing strategic direction and operational oversight.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure financial sustainability and delivery of organisational outcomes through effective financial management.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Foster a culture of organisational effectiveness, staff wellbeing, and compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.
  • Provide strong leadership that reflects a trauma-informed and client-centered ethos.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven executive leadership experience in a community, health, or human services organisation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed practice, child protection, domestic, family and sexual violence, and mental health.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in managing organisational budgets and funding arrangements.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
  • Proven experience working with Management Committees/Boards and understanding of corporate and community compliance and governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and influence in a diverse stakeholder environment.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Business, or a related field.
  • Current unrestricted driver's licence.
  • Lived experience or deep understanding of regional community issues, particularly impacting vulnerable populations.
