About the Role

The College of Vocational Education at RMIT University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced VE Teacher to join our team in the Global Business department. As a VE Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering course material, assessing students, and supervising students enrolled in specific courses focused in RMIT Sports partnerships programs with Essendon Football Club and Cricket Victoria.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality course material and assessments to students
  • Supervise students enrolled in specific courses and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Participate in the development and review of course content, teaching methods, and student assessment
  • Engage with external organizations, industry groups, and RMIT teaching and administration staff

Requirements

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments
  • Skills and experience in competency-based assessment
  • Ability to ensure current and contemporary vocational competence that meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed
  • Experience in relevant industry and substantial discipline knowledge as it relates to this position
  • Capacity to diagnose learning problems in students and propose and implement effective solutions
  • Ability to contribute effectively as a constructive and proactive member of a team
  • Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies

Qualifications

  • Certificate IV TAE
