Electrophysiology Specialist

About the Role:

As an Electrophysiology Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic team delivering advanced medical technologies to patients in need. You will collaborate with leading healthcare professionals to understand their needs and provide support in electrophysiology procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical support for new therapy introduction and use, demonstrating expertise in electrophysiology procedures.
  • Develop deep technical understanding of company products and provide training to Cardiac Electrophysiologists, Cardiac Physiologists, and Nurses.
  • Travel as required to meet customer demand for services described above.
  • Attend cases face-to-face or remotely with customers, operating Boston Scientific products where appropriate, and providing detailed training/advice on clinical attributes/techniques associated with Boston Scientific electrophysiology products.
  • Develop understanding of workflows and specificities of each hospital/business relationships with hospital personnel to make new contacts in other departments within hospitals and all stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely collection/reporting of all required medical documentation pertaining to procedural device operation.
  • Respond to complex customer needs/complaints regarding products and service by developing creative and feasible solutions or working with other related personnel (e.g., sales, clinical, research, marketing, technical support) to develop optimal solutions.
  • Record customer information and activities in company's Salesforce system: use the system as an alignment tool with other commercial roles.
  • Completion of relevant administration including reporting, stock validations, and inventory management.
  • Attend meetings, conferences, and exhibitions as required to promote Boston Scientific products and services.
  • Be available to support the broader ANZ Rhythm Management business on an as-needs basis.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A thorough understanding of Cardiac Electrophysiology.
  • Biophysics of radiofrequency and cryoablation.
  • A thorough understanding of Pulsed Field Ablation (Pulsed Direct Current) on cardiac tissue and a biophysical understanding of tissue selectivity.
  • Successfully completes all relevant training.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of electrophysiology procedure, products, and treatment applications.
  • Proactively keeps up to date with technical knowledge in electrophysiology.
