Key Role in Visual Storytelling

Job Description:

Moving image designers play a vital role in creating captivating visual content for diverse multimedia platforms. This includes designing engaging moving images for exhibitions, digital signage, marketing and social media outputs, documentary films, web, and interactive content production projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with audiovisual production teams to design and develop video productions across various areas such as filming, camera operation, motion graphics design, animation, video editing, colour grading, field recording, and audio postproduction.
  • Participate in creative partnerships to design and storyboard video productions based on media, marketing, and curatorial briefs.
  • Support the production of documentary content for artist and curator interviews, exhibition materials, and educational content development.
Requirements:
  • Approved qualification in Multimedia, film production, visual arts, graphic design or related disciplines, or experience in moving image design and content production.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in various moving image production areas or specialized expertise in one or more areas of moving image design.
  • Strong typographic skills and experience with web design in the cultural sector.
  • Background knowledge of Australian and International art, experience with cultural content of institutions, understanding of web standards and issues for government departments/agencies, or awareness of copyright issues in the arts sector.
