Job Title: Advanced Case Manager

At the Department of Justice and Community Safety, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to fill this critical role.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital part in helping support community safety by managing a caseload of complex offenders. As an advanced case manager, you will work with individuals who have completed part of their sentence in custody, using evidence-based frameworks to deliver dynamic practice in case management.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing a caseload of complex and high-risk offenders on court orders
  • Delivering dynamic practice in the case management of offenders with complex needs
  • Motivating and influencing individuals in the case management process
  • Linking offenders with services, including alcohol and other drugs (AOD), mental health, housing, and medical appointments
  • Producing written reports with appropriate analysis and recommendations
Key Responsibilities

Some key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and implementing effective case plans that address the individual's specific needs and goals
  • Providing regular updates and progress reports to stakeholders
  • Collaborating with other agencies and organizations to ensure a comprehensive approach to case management
  • Staying up-to-date with relevant laws, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and best practice

  • Experience working with complex groups, such as homelessness, drug and alcohol, and child protection
  • The ability to practice self-care, maintain a work-life balance, and seek support from colleagues, mentors, managers or external providers when needed
