**Mechanic Position Summary**

We seek a skilled Diesel Mechanic to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.

  • Carries out regular maintenance and repair tasks, including standard and preventive work.
  • Diagnostics complex mechanical issues using specialized tools.
  • Completes detailed inspections and carries out repairs with minimal supervision.
  • Replaces faulty components as instructed and works independently on most tasks.

**Key Responsibilities**

In addition to the above, the successful candidate will:

  • Perform facility upkeep duties and interact with customers/drivers to determine issue nature.
  • Utilize Shop Management System and electronic documentation effectively.
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, regulatory guidelines and corporate standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels and access internal/external maintenance resources.
  • Support operational requirements with additional duties as necessary.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Vocational/Technical certification or post-secondary degree is preferred.
  • Basic toolset required.
  • Experience in automotive engine repair, routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics and basic repairs.
