**Mechanic Position Summary**
We seek a skilled Diesel Mechanic to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Carries out regular maintenance and repair tasks, including standard and preventive work.
- Diagnostics complex mechanical issues using specialized tools.
- Completes detailed inspections and carries out repairs with minimal supervision.
- Replaces faulty components as instructed and works independently on most tasks.
**Key Responsibilities**
In addition to the above, the successful candidate will:
- Perform facility upkeep duties and interact with customers/drivers to determine issue nature.
- Utilize Shop Management System and electronic documentation effectively.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, regulatory guidelines and corporate standards.
- Provide guidance and support to Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels and access internal/external maintenance resources.
- Support operational requirements with additional duties as necessary.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Vocational/Technical certification or post-secondary degree is preferred.
- Basic toolset required.
- Experience in automotive engine repair, routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics and basic repairs.

- An hourly pay rate of $29.50.
- A certification bonus of up to $700 for new ASE certifications.
- A quarterly bonus of up to $500 per quarter.
