Position Available: FIFO Underground Experience Heavy Diesel Mechanic - 8/6 Roster (Brisbane, Perth, Darwin, Alice Springs)

Falcon Diesel currently has exciting opportunities for FIFO Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join our team on an 8/6 rotating days and nights roster. You'll be working on underground mining equipment for a leading mining company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting mechanical repairs and maintenance on underground mining equipment
  • Demonstrating expertise in load & haul operations, with exposure to drill equipment being highly beneficial
  • Performing diagnostic assessments and utilising diagnostic programs effectively
  • Collaborating effectively within a team environment to achieve shared goals

Knowledge, skills and qualifications we're looking for;

  • Previous experience with underground mining equipment - Sandvik, Epiroc, Normet, Volvo, CAT
  • Australian recognized trade certification
  • Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance skills
  • Ability to obtain or hold a National Police Clearance issued within the last 6 months
  • Underground mining experience and familiarity with shift work
  • Background or training from OEMs highly regarded
  • Familiarity with diagnostic programs
