Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Library Services Officer. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering a quality, contemporary library service to meet the diverse and complex information and recreational needs of our community.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with children and young people, promoting inclusion and lifelong learning. The role involves developing and implementing aspects of our services and programs, building effective relationships within the community, and working collaboratively to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • To support the delivery of a high-quality library service to meet the needs of our community.
  • To develop and implement aspects of our services and programs, including initiatives that promote literacy and lifelong learning.
  • To build and maintain effective relationships with community members, stakeholders, and other organizations to promote collaboration and partnership.
  • To contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote child safety and well-being.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status - Employment)
