Medical Instrument Professional

This is a Casual position within the Central Sterilising Services Department. As a Medical Instrument Professional, you will be responsible for providing all stages of reprocessing services for patient care equipment and surgical instruments.
About the Role- You will perform daily activities and duties in CSSD, ensuring timely delivery of services and products while adhering to documented instructions and Australian Standards.
- Monitoring the operation of reprocessing equipment and reporting failures through the internal reporting system.
- Assisting in the orientation of new staff members and training them in accordance with current standards.
- Using all CSSD processing equipment safely and assisting with stock management to ensure continuity of service.
- Certificate III in Health – Sterilizing Practice for Technicians
- CSSD experience in accordance with the Award
- Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterilization procedures
- Employee Assistance Program
- Ability to join Fitness Passport and Staff Wellbeing Hub
- Current National Criminal Record Check or willingness to obtain
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Compliance with RCHs Immunisation procedure
