Commercial Advisor

The Principal Commercial Advisor plays a critical role in creating, protecting, and optimising the enterprise value of Beach's Victorian assets. This involves developing, negotiating, and implementing agreements to support hydrocarbon sales, storage, processing, transport, and asset & joint venture activities.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Victoria Asset strategy.
- Develop, recommend, and coordinate activities to create, protect, and optimise value through commercial agreements to support production, development, market access, sale, processing, storage, and transportation of hydrocarbons.
- Lead and support engagements with internal and external stakeholders, including management, internal functions, new and prospective customers, JV partners, service providers, and government bodies.
- Guide and undertake commercial analysis with in-house economists and stakeholders to support business decisions on hydrocarbon sales, asset development, and abandonment.
- Perform market intelligence gathering, analysis, and reporting on customers, competitors, industry participants, and energy market performance.
- Prepare and review invoices and sales and performance reports for existing agreements.
We are seeking a motivated professional with substantial experience in the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will have:
- A very high proficiency in the development, negotiation, and management of commercial and joint venture agreements.
- Relevant experience and a strong working knowledge of the petroleum industry, particularly in the East Australian natural gas market and domestic LPG and condensate markets.
- Demonstrated capabilities in negotiation, strategy development and implementation, product portfolio options/levers, and the delivery of optimised commercial decisions.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with proven experience engaging at all levels of organisations, industry, and government.
- Strong, value-driven commercial acumen with a proven ability to comprehend complexity and originate, negotiate, and capture opportunities, and identify, understand, and mitigate risks.
