Join a team dedicated to shaping the future of energy infrastructure as an Asset Portfolio Strategist. This is a high-impact role where you'll lead billion-dollar investments and drive groundbreaking energy projects.

In this position, you will be responsible for asset portfolio management and investment sponsorship, ensuring seamless integration of major projects, network augmentation, and EnergyCo initiatives into the network. You'll develop optimised commercial and technical solutions across the asset lifecycle and lead Transgrid network inputs into contestable bids, collaborating with commercial teams, financial advisors, and clients.

You'll work closely with Executive Managers, Lumea, Major Project teams, Asset Managers, and Network Planning to shape the future of energy infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop commercial and technical solutions across the asset lifecycle.
  • Lead Transgrid network inputs into contestable bids, collaborating with commercial teams, financial advisors, and clients.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance while balancing asset risk, cost, and performance.
  • Drive innovation in cost estimating, incorporating macroeconomic and market trends.
  • Manage upstream contracts for operational projects, ensuring seamless execution.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree qualification in Engineering, Commerce, Economics, or equivalent.
  • Experience in relevant infrastructure investment and portfolio management roles.
  • Experience in high-voltage substation and transmission line, technical, and commercial roles across the asset lifecycle, including concept development, design, construction, operations, and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated experience in risk management to support asset management decision-making and regulatory compliance.
  • Working knowledge of applying and managing regulatory and compliance requirements relating to asset management of high-voltage transmission networks, including ISO 55001 asset management systems, ENSMS, and AS 5577.
  • Able to apply both technical and commercial evaluation of options for network developments and input to financial modelling.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures applicable to asset management of transmission infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of NEM development, including AEMO's ISP and NSW EII Roadmap.
  • Awareness of NER and NSW Regulatory Frameworks, including RIT-T, CPAs, and TET.
