We are a disability provider like no other in our sector. At the heart of our work is second-to-none client relationship management by the amazing teams who support our clients, in their homes or shared accommodation settings.

The role

This Senior People Business Partner role provides the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of partnering with the business, providing best practice guidance and advice on their people needs and helping them develop and grow their capabilities. We think our culture is pretty awesome, but there is always room for improvement and this role will play a large part in helping to build upon our unique culture with a continuous improvement focus on the employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational HR guidance and advice to the business
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of workplace issues and legislative changes at the state and federal level, including specific requirements for the disability sector
  • Assist our leaders and the rest of the P&C Business Partners to assess and determine people risks and strategies to mitigate risks
  • Offer guidance and support to the organisation on people management and performance issues, including ER/IR matters
  • Case management and lead internal investigations (where necessary)
  • Provide guidance and advice on organisation design

Core Team Recruitment & Strategic Workforce Planning

  • In conjunction with the Talent Business Partner, support core team recruitment, including scoping and creating roles, providing rem advice and using our ATS and social networks to source talent
  • Together with the finance team, support the business with workforce planning

Wellbeing and Safety

  • Lead managers to create safe and healthy workplaces for our team
  • In conjunction with our Injury Management Partner, actively manage injuries and RTW case management
  • Participate in any Worksafe audits and prepare documentation as needed for our insurer
  • Lead initiatives, benefits and events that contribute to wellbeing, including liaising with our EAP
  • Champion and support the Wellbeing & Safety Squad, as required

Feedback and Development

  • Guide and deliver our feedback and development processes at all levels (including both our cyclical processes and ad-hoc coaching support)

Engagement, Culture, Diversity & Inclusion

  • Take a lead role in the design and delivery of organisational development projects, including thought leadership and project management. This includes improving the employee experience in engagement, culture, diversity, inclusion and more

HR Information systems, reporting and our payroll interface & relationship

  • Create people insights for strategic decision-making and recommendations by using workforce data and analytics
  • Maintain a positive and productive relationship with our payroll team to ensure seamless experiences for our people

Other responsibilities

  • Assume people leadership responsibility for the P&C Coordinator, including day-to-day guidance and support
  • Prepare reporting requirements for the organisation, including people metrics, input to Board reports, statutory reporting (e.g. WGEA), audits and survey data
  • Lead the development of policy, guidance notes and best practice ways of working in the people space

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A depth of knowledge and experience in providing strategic and operational HR guidance and advice
  • Deep ER/IR experience, including navigating complex awards/legislative environments and managing investigations
  • An innovative and creative approach, willingness to build from the ground up and a 'test and learn' attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills that allow you to influence and build trust at all levels
  • The desire to drive continuous improvement and a passion for employee experience
  • Data analysis and reporting skills
  • Change management skills

Additional requirements

As part of our recruitment process, certain checks will be undertaken with your permission, including an NDIS Worker Screening Check for Core Team roles. This is a mandatory requirement before you can start work.

Benefits

We offer above-award wages, great benefits and a supportive team culture.

Salary packaging benefits are available too, which can help you maximise your take-home pay.

A note about Inclusion

At InLife, diversity and inclusion is part of our DNA. We celebrate the amazing differences we all bring to our work and we actively ensure that everyone feels safe and supported in our workplaces.

We welcome and encourage applications from everyone and our hiring decisions will never be based on things such as your gender identity, disability, age, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation or cultural background - because they simply aren't relevant to doing an awesome job (and you are protected from this kind of discrimination under Australian law).

We also know that we continue to learn more about inclusion every day, so if there is something you think we could do differently to make InLife a place you could picture yourself working, we're all ears.
