Marine Construction Project Manager
Job Description:The Marine Construction Project Manager is responsible for planning, overseeing and leading projects from initial site setup through to completion. This is a senior role requiring interaction with various stakeholders.
- Accurate estimation and successful preparation of quotes in accordance with financial targets;
- Meeting benchmark for quote to job conversion rate;
- Ensuring all projects are completed according to contract specifications efficiently and under budget;
- Meet target of Gross Profitability Margin (GPM) for assigned projects;
- Cost effective procurement and project management;
- Efficient operation of all on-site works including provision of resources, sub-contractors, staffing requirements;
- Workplace Health and Safety implementation and management with a focus on safety culture;
- On-site supervision and project management of the team to ensure construction works meet high standards and contract specifications;
- Liaising with clients, company peers and reporting to management to deliver client and company requirements.
This position requires minimum 5 years experience in Civil/Landscaping Construction. Previous experience in maritime field is an advantage. A trade qualification is also necessary.
- Leadership skills with strong management and communication abilities;
- Implement, review and ensure crew compliance with Safety Management System, company procedures and legislation;
- Experience working around heavy machinery and good knowledge of WHS;
- WHS White card and Provide First Aid Certificate;
- Computer literacy and competency with MS Office Packages.
