About the Role

Cyber security threat hunters leverage threat intelligence and analytical skills to proactively detect and respond to emerging threats. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting proactive threat hunts across enterprise networks to identify vulnerabilities
  • Leveraging cyber threat intelligence to support hunt activities and enhance detection capabilities
  • Developing and maintaining threat detection tools, dashboards, and custom use cases to streamline incident response
  • Analysing logs and security events to identify anomalous activity and anticipate potential risks
  • Recommending security enhancements and countermeasures to mitigate identified threats
  • Collaborating with team members to share knowledge and best practices
  • Maintaining high-quality technical documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years in cyber security incident response or threat hunting experience
  • Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel)
  • Experience using the MITRE ATT&CK framework to inform threat hunting strategies
  • Strong skills in designing and testing detection use cases to optimize threat detection capabilities
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to facilitate effective teamwork
  • Well-developed technical writing abilities to create high-quality documentation

Candidates should possess essential criteria such as tertiary qualifications in a technical field and certifications like CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, Microsoft or Splunk.
