We're seeking a highly skilled Cyber Threat Analyst to help protect critical national infrastructure.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join our cyber operations team in Canberra and leverage cyber threat intelligence and advanced analytics to hunt for threats and enhance the security posture of a high-stakes federal environment.

You will work collaboratively with our team to identify and mitigate cyber threats, ensuring the integrity of our systems and data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hunt for cyber threats across large-scale global networks
  • Leverage Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) in hunt activities and analysis
  • Create and manage threat detection tools, including dashboards and custom use cases
  • Analyse logs and events to identify patterns and develop countermeasures
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Cyber Security Incident Responder or Threat Hunter
  • Skilled in using SIEM tools such as Splunk or Sentinel for log analysis and threat detection
  • Hands-on experience with the MITRE ATT&CK framework in threat hunting or incident response
  • Proven ability to design and test use cases for malicious activity detection
