Agronomist: Agricultural Development Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Agronomist to join our Northern team on a permanent, full-time basis.
As an Agronomist with Elders Rural, you will work closely with clients to provide agronomic technical advice, products, and services that help them thrive in the Australian agricultural landscape.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide onsite agronomic and technical support to clients to recommend appropriate products and services to strengthen their business.
- Achieve allocated financial objectives and assist with product forecasting and inventory management.
- Promote branch staff upskilling by providing technical advice and product recommendations.
- Develop and foster professional relationships with a targeted group of existing and new clients.
- Identify and cultivate new agronomic sales opportunities for prospective and existing clients.
- Maximise promotional opportunities, including assisting at field days and farmer meetings with demonstrations and trial work.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- A strong background in disciplines such as crop, weed, disease, pasture, broadacre, cotton, and horticulture.
- A proven track record in sales and previous experience in an agronomy role.
- An ability to provide high-level customer service and cultivate relationships with potential and current growers.
- A tertiary qualification in agricultural science or a related field.
- The ability to thrive in a collaborative working environment and embrace industry research and new technology.

We offer a competitive salary range of AU$80,000 - AU$120,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for career growth and development.
