Key Role in Communications and Engagement

About the Opportunity:

This position plays a pivotal role within the Communications and Engagement division, working collaboratively across various departments to champion our purpose of growth and development.

We are seeking an experienced communications professional to provide strategic advice on communication outcomes for organisational initiatives and develop effective communication and engagement plans for a range of campaigns, events, projects, and initiatives.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication and engagement strategies for various Council campaigns, events, projects, and initiatives.
  • Provide tactical guidance on communication outcomes for organisational initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to formulate innovative and creative strategies to engage and involve community members.
  • Develop and maintain a consistent and recognisable brand identity and messaging for Townsville City Council.
  • Translate complex information for diverse audiences using various communication tools and channels.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal applicant will possess exceptional writing skills, particularly in the production of communication plans and materials. They will also have excellent project management skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
