Health and Safety Specialist

This role involves the management of occupational health, safety and environment to ensure a safe workplace is maintained.
The OpportunityYou will drive site initiatives leading to continuous improvement in SHE performance aligning with a zero-accident mindset.
Main Responsibilities:- Coordinate the Factory's SHE strategy and program and develop objectives based on market and corporate targets.
- Monitor and communicate performance to inform decision making regarding SHE and integrate it into business decisions.
- Ensure adherence to company principles, policies, and SHE requirements.
- Comply with SHE-related legal requirements.
- Establish a local network, including authorities and other factories.
- Implement, control, maintain, and improve the Factory SHE Management systems.
- Support the SHE Manager and Line Managers to achieve the Factory's SHE objectives.
- Maintain accurate SHE performance data.
- Be involved with the Factory's SHE risk assessment program, including assessment, incident investigation, corrective action, and auditing, as well as focus on CTF/BBS and culture.
- Join a collaborative team and work effectively within a team environment.
- Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS).
- 5-day WHS Representative course completion preferred.
- Minimum 1 year's experience in a Factory Operations role, preferably in a Safety role.
- Clear communication skills are essential.
- Proactive, thorough, and detailed individual with strong relationship building skills required.
