Senior Leadership Role in Aboriginal Economic Empowerment

This is a senior leadership role that supports the Director of Economic Development to deliver Departmental priorities and strategies aimed at improving economic outcomes for Aboriginal people, communities and businesses.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement policies and programs to promote Aboriginal economic empowerment
  • Provide expert guidance to senior leaders on strategic decisions affecting Aboriginal economic development
  • Collaborate with analysts, service providers and Aboriginal stakeholders to design innovative approaches to improve economic self-determination
  • Lead a team to identify, develop and deliver initiatives and projects supporting the establishment and growth of Aboriginal businesses
  • Promote strength-based approaches to Aboriginal empowerment across government departments

About the Role:

The Senior Leadership Role in Aboriginal Economic Empowerment is responsible for leading a team to develop and implement policies and programs that support the economic empowerment of Aboriginal people. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in policy development and implementation, and a deep understanding of Aboriginal economic development.
