Financial Services Research Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Research Professional to join our dynamic team. As a key member of the research department, you will be responsible for identifying and forecasting trends in the financial services industry.
Your primary focus will be on supporting a wide range of research projects representing client deliverables and developing new research initiatives in response to evolving market conditions.
You will collaborate with the team to refine and establish new research processes, methodologies, and research formats to optimize the research workflow, the quality of research insights, and their relevance to clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute comprehensive research plans to support business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure research outputs meet business requirements.
- Provide consulting and analytical support for recurring and new research projects.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong mathematical aptitude, analysis, forecasting/modelling skills, and excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Tertiary qualification in mathematics/economics/statistics/finance.
- Preferably a minimum of 5 years' experience in financial services with a focus on the wealth management industries, or experience with a market research firm or a consulting business active in the financial services industry.
- Understanding of life insurance products (Retail, Direct, Group), retirement products (superannuation, income stream/annuities) and managed investments.
- Familiarity with Australian financial regulators and financial market.
